Modern two-way technology for heavy-duty applications: DPB expands its fleet of track excavators

The DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH expands their machinery by two new Liebherr A 922 Rail track excavators (built in 2026) and thus specifically strengthens its capabilities in railway infrastructure construction. With the commissioning, the fleet grows to a total of eleven two-way excavators

The high-performance machines feature a Motor power of 120 kW, fulfill the Euro 5 emissions standard and are with one 4-point support equipped. With a total weight of 23,5 tons as the Approval for Austria and Germany they are flexible and usable across borders.

Thanks to modern two-way technology, the new devices can be used flexible both in road traffic and directly in the track area use them. They come at Construction and maintenance work along the route as well as in general Civil engineering projects, in the winter service, in measures of Green maintenance as well as at tree pruning for use.

The extensive equipment of the new track excavators includes:

  • 800 mm and 300 mm clamshell grabs
  • 1600 mm ditch cleaning bucket
  • 850 mm digging bucket
  • hydraulic tiltrotator
  • Load hook adapter
  • Likufix SWA 33 for tool changes in seconds directly from the cabin – hydraulic, electrical and mechanical connections are automatically coupled and disconnected.

This investment strengthens the DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH sustainably improves their technical performance, increases their Flexibility in use and builds their Capacities in railway infrastructure construction further out.
