The DPB GmbH realized in cooperation with the KEM Bau GmbH A broadband project along the Radkersburg railway line between Spielfeld-Straß and Bad Radkersburg. Along a stretch of around 31 kilometers a new fiber optic connection (Fiber optic aerial cable) for fast and reliable data transmission in the GSM-R network (Global System for Mobile Communications – Railway) the ÖBB.

The Project assignment from DPB GmbH included the Installation and professional splicing of approximately 31.000 meters of fiber optic aerial cable along the existing telecommunications route. Stops and stations were connected to the network, thus ensuring secure communication between the signal boxes.

The work was carried out mostly at night so as not to disrupt regular train operations during the day.

Within just 28 days, the DPB team, consisting of telecommunications technicians and fiber optic specialists, to complete the project. This once again underlines the high Technical competence and performance of DPB GmbH in the field of railway cable infrastructure.
