
Hybrid power for the future: DPB Rail Infra Service takes delivery of new EURODUAL locomotive
On December 4, 2025, the DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH their fleet by one new locomotive expanded: the EURODUAL 159 221, baptized with the name "Hannah".
The locomotive, provided by ELP (European Loc Pool AG), combines state-of-the-art hybrid technology with high performance and will make an important contribution to the efficiency and flexibility of the future DPB Rail Group The EURODUAL stands for energy-efficient and high-performance traction and guarantees reliable operation. both on electrified and non-electrified lines.
For the DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH “Hannah” is therefore much more than a new vehicle: With an electrical output of 6.150 kW and a diesel output of 2.800 kW, it not only expands the technical capacity of the fleet, but also sets a clear example for progress, sustainability and the future of rail freight transport.
