Fleet expansion at the start of the year: DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH welcomes two new Vectron locomotives

At the beginning of 2026, the DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH their fleet two new Vectron locomotives of variants A17 and A10 from Siemens Mobility extended.

The vehicles were already taken over in Dessau on January 13, 2026, transferred to Krieglach and there wrapped in the DPB design and prepared for international use.

The official reception took place on 23. January at the location of DPB Rail Technical Service GmbH in Krieglach and was held as part of a traditional Locomotive christening Celebrated in a small circle together with long-standing business partners.

As a sign of their partnership, they Wilhelm Moser, Managing Partner of DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH, and Tanja Kienegger, Managing Director of Siemens Mobility Austria GmbH, the champagne christening. The two locomotives bear the names “Anna” and “Paula”, and thus continue the tradition of naming – named after the grandmothers of Wilhelm Moser.

Accompanied by a convivial gathering with food and drink, the new locomotives soon left the halls to begin their first work assignment towards Slovakia.

The DPB Rail Infra Service GmbH looks ahead to a dynamic year: Two more Vectron locomotives from Siemens Mobility are expected as early as the end of February 2026 and will continue the consistent growth of the fleet for international freight transport.
