As part of the comprehensive renovation of the A2 Pack Tunnel Chain, DPB GmbH is making a significant contribution to the modernization of one of the most important infrastructure projects on the Südautobahn. This major project spans a construction site approximately 25 kilometers long, where several tunnel systems are being technically upgraded.

The first construction phase covers the Herzogberg Tunnel, which is being fully upgraded to the latest safety standards. DPB GmbH’s Tunnel Engineering Department is responsible for implementing the electrical systems.

The scope of work includes the renewal of the power supply as well as the lighting, ventilation, communications, and safety systems. The equipment is supplemented by modern medium-voltage systems, tunnel fans, video surveillance, emergency call systems, and numerous other technical installations that ensure reliable tunnel operation.

In this way, DPB GmbH is laying the groundwork for a modern tunnel infrastructure and contributing to the flow of traffic on the A2 South Autobahn.
